In solidarity with our Occupied Golan citizens, The University of Kalamoon on Thursday December 3rd,2009,organized a walking trip from the University Campus at Deratiah to the location of the Tishreen Liberation War Panorama Site in Damascus.
The symbolic trip set out at 6 a.m. from Deratiah with the participation of a number of university teaching and administrative staff and about 50 men and women students. The 85-kilometer walking tour was headed by Eng. SalimDaabool , University Vice President of the Board of Trustees . Eng. Daabool declared that the march, which coincided with the UN General Assembly's appeal to the Israeli occupation forces to withdraw from the Golan and have it restored by the mother land, is carried out in solidarity with the citizens of the Golan. Students participating in the march reiterated that the march is a peaceful and civilized expression in support of our Occupied Golan citizens and with the aim of unveiling the nature of Israel as a usurping and barbarian state which usurps rights and violates international law.
The march tour had rest intervals at four locations namely: Alqastal Town, Ma'aloula Crossroads, Zahr Tanaia and Adra.
