Dear students
It is for my pleasure to welcome you all at the Faculty of Civil and Architectural Engineering, the University of Kalamoon, and to start our new academic year with the participation of distinguished instructors and engineers in most scientific disciplines in the fields of civil and architectural engineering
The faculty is centered on raising academic performance to internationally recognized standards level, as well as spreading the culture of quality, innovation and quality innovation to prepare highly qualified graduates with the specifications defined by international academic standards. Your presence in one scientific incubator, the College of Civil and Architectural Engineering is a unique opportunity, that might not be available in other universities, will enforce the great benefits of integrating and linking civil and architecture engineering information through joint scientific projects and lectures that will put you in an excellent rank of graduates.
The University of Kalamoon, has worked through 16 years to instill all the necessary ingredients of this development, including distinguished human cadres and a solid infrastructure. Its policy today is to lay the foundations of development, modernization and quality, and provide the elements of creativity and innovation, in a world of the accelerated knowledge and technology that require constant development of human skills and ensure that a qualified cadre is able to deal with the developments of this era and adapt to its results. It is also concerned with linking learning with to the daily needs of citizens, using technology and providing appropriate outputs for the labor market and the professional environment
It is certain in today’s world that science, technology and innovation have become the main driver of development and economic growth, improving productivity, and strengthening competitiveness. Indeed, scientific and technical development has become the most prominent feature of this century. I always direct today’s students to be patient, to develop themselves, not to stop learning, “and you have little knowledge,” and to take advantage of the internet in searching for information sources; to learn about the latest developments in the fields of knowledge and engineering specialization, and not to waste their precious time on the social media.
My students, you have great tasks. It is a noble mission in contributing to the reconstruction of our wounded country. You should familiarize yourself with the latest methods of studies and designs in civil and architectural engineering; develop your skills to deal with the current developments that have affected our beloved nation and together rebuild what has been destroyed, rehabilitate and strengthen damaged facilities and infrastructure, and employ all national efforts and expertise to rebuild our great historical facilities that have also been destroyed..
Once again, I welcome you all to the College of Civil and Architectural Engineering, and I hope that your period of study will be fruitful, and have an active role in building our beloved country.
May God’s peace, mercy and bless be upon you.
