Since its establishment, the Faculty of Engineering has worked to be among the leading engineering schools, not only at the national level, but also at the regional and international ones.
The faculty has evolved through the continual improvement of its educational curricula and the increase of laboratories. A new department, the Mechatronics Department, was opened to keep pace with scientific world developments on one hand and to meet the needs local and international market on the other.
The university has spared no effort to develop the Faculty of Engineering by stimulating field work for students, which helps to develop scientific capabilities to align with the requirements of the local and global market in various fields.
The faculty’s administration seeks to attract the best teachers in various disciplines to provide its staff with a good crew capable of raising the students’ achievement to the level of international universities.

Mission of The Faculty:
Our mission is to graduate a distinguished engineer with academic and practical capabilities, to enrich the public and private sectors with highly qualified expertise as well as technical capabilities that characterizes the successful professional engineer in the modern technical era
Goals of The Faculty:
- According to the accredited engineering specialties, preparing and qualifying engineers with a distinguished level of knowledge that aligns with current scientific and technical progress
- Qualifying a generation of engineers capable of carrying out the actual needs of the society
- Preparing scientific and research and applied studies that aim to solve technical issues and contributes to the economic, social and technical development of the country.
- Providing technical services, studies and consultations to public and private institutions
- Providing evaluation and training services to public and private institutions to improve workers’ performance and increase productivity
- Encouraging the publication of outstanding scientific researches and enhancing the improvement of teaching methods and techniques to enrich the means of knowledge for students and society.
- Establishing scientific laboratories that conduct purposeful and distinguished scientific and applied research, encouraging distinguished researchers, and urging them to involve students in scientific middles where they can use scientific methodologies and tools.
- Putting the student in an integrated rehabilitation environment to acquire a team-player spirit with a balanced personality, scientifically, socially and psychologically.
- Developing the student’s Interpersonal communication skills so that he is able to exchange ideas positively with others.
- Activating academic counseling and guidance that best serves the student’s interest and helps achieving the best possible scientific level.
- Establishing cultural and scientific connections with Syrian, Arab and foreign universities that help to exchange scientific experiences and contribute to the realization of joint research and studies.
- Instilling the spirit of national belonging and concern for the public interest
