4. | Facilitating cheating for a student (exchanging papers, questions, a rough draft, signs, talking to a second student from inside the hall, or any other device used to facilitate cheating). | First or Second Exam: Both students are given an F in the course in which the violation was detected. Final Exam: Both students are given an F in all courses registered for in the semester in which the violation occurred. |
5. | Facilitating cheating by a student (exchanging papers, questions, a draft, signs, talking with another student, or any other tool used for that purpose). Outside the hall: – If the one facilitating the cheating is a student at the university. | First or second exam: Both students will receive an F grade in all courses of the semester in which the violation occurred.
Final exam: An F grade in all courses of the semester in which the violation occurred and temporary suspension from the university for two semesters. |
6. | Facilitating cheating by a student (exchanging papers, questions, a draft, signs, talking with another student, or any other tool used to facilitate cheating). Outside the hall: – If the person facilitating cheating is not registered at the university. | First or second exam: The student will be given an “F” grade in the courses of the semester in which the violation was detected, while the student not registered at the university will be referred to the judiciary.
Final exam: The student’s penalty will be increased to an “F” grade in all the courses of the semester in which the violation occurred and temporary expulsion from the university for two academic years, starting with the following semester. The unregistered student will be referred to the judiciary. |
7. | Detecting a fraudulent means (small pieces of paper, university diplomas, thumbnails, etc.), or proving it was written on chairs, walls, or some body parts, etc.). | The first or second test: Giving a grade (F) in the course in which the violation was detected.

In case the same violation is repeated, whether in tests or in the final exam, the student will be permanently dismissed from the university. |
10. | Causing (vocal or physical) disturbance in the hall or the student violating the observers’ instructions in any way (refusal to change seating place – delay in handing in the answer sheet at the end of the exam date, etc.). | The first, second, or final exam: The sanction varies depending on the seriousness of the case, from issuing a notice of warning, to giving a grade (F) in all courses in which the student was registered in the semester in which the violation was detected. |

- Non-Exam Violation:

3. | Tampering and intentional sabotage of public facilities at the university. | The penalty ranges from a notice of warning to dismissal from the university, demanding compensation of the material damages resulted from tampering and vandalism, which should not be less than double the current price (University Bylaws, Article 122). |
4. | Failure to adhere to public manners on campus (dress, behavior, fights, etc.) | The penalty ranges from a notice of warning to dismissal from the university. |
5. | Impersonation for any reason other than taking the exam (attending with the intention of not registering an absence, registering for courses, etc…) | Both the impersonated and beneficiary belong to the university: temporary dismissal of the university.
The impersonated is not a joiner of the university; he will be referred to the court. |
6. | Forging or submitting any forged document to the university or to any other party (registration documents – transcripts – graduation documents -signatures…etc.). | Dismissal from the university and referring to the judiciary. |
7. | Practicing political, social, or educational activities outside the instructions stipulated in university regulations without the knowledge of the university administration. | The penalty ranges from a notice of warning to dismissal from the university, with referral to the judiciary and the relevant authorities when required. |

Graduated Sanctions:
– Notice of warning
– Temporary suspension for a period of time (one to two weeks)
– Temporary dismissal of a number of semesters (one semester or more)
– Permanent dismissal
General provisions
- The student will be removed from the exam hall when any of the violations mentioned in Articles 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 of these regulations are detected.
- In the first, second, or midterm exams: the decision of removing the student from the hall is up to the discretion of the Dean of the faculty or his vice, particularly when the presence of the violating student in the hall causes disruption in the examination process.
- In the final exam: It is up to the discretion of the president of the examination committee to remove the violating student from the examination hall if his presence in the hall causes disruption in the examination process
- In accordance with the provisions of Article 122/K, the penalty of dismissal shall be applied wherever it appears in this system of the university’s bylaws.
- If the student repeats the same violation during his study years, the penalties will be increased as follows:
- Grading (F) in the course: to be increased to (F) in all courses in which the student registered in the semester the repeat violation happened.
- Grading (F) in the courses in which the student registered in the semester when the repeated violation was detected: to be increased to (F) in all the courses the student registered in the semester when the violation was detected and dismissal from the university in the coming academic semester.
- Dismissal from the university for a specific period of time: to be doubled till it reaches the permanent dismissal.
