Faculty of Medicine Holds Scientific Session on Hemorrhage Diagnosis and Management
In pursuit of its mission to enrich medical knowledge and to foster scientific communication and expertise exchange among faculty and students, the Faculty of Human Medicine at the University of Kalamoon organized a distinguished scientific session.
A select group of the Faculty’s specialized professors delivered a series of comprehensive lectures, all focused on the diagnosis and clinical management of hemorrhages across various bodily systems.
The session featured the following lectures:
Dr. Numair Daaboul inaugurated the session with a lecture titled “Gastrointestinal Bleeding.” He detailed the clinical signs and etiologies of both upper and lower gastrointestinal hemorrhage, outlining the essential diagnostic investigations required according to the severity of bleeding.
Dr. Sameer Alanzawi followed with a lecture on “Hematuria (Urinary Tract Bleeding).” His presentation covered the causes, presenting symptoms, diagnostic pathways, and fundamental management strategies for this condition.
Dr. Marwan Zayyat then presented on “Obstetric and Gynecological Hemorrhages,” elucidating their causes, various types, and contemporary clinical management approaches.
Dr. Adnan Ismail concluded the session with a lecture entitled “Hemoptysis.” Focusing on bleeding stemming from pulmonary sources, he discussed both infectious and non-infectious etiologies. The lecture highlighted special clinical cases, most notably lung carcinoma, and reviewed the primary intervention measures alongside their associated risks.
The event was held on Saturday, 15 November 2025. Attendees included the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Numair Daaboul, along with a number of professors, administrative staff, and students.
