Department of Graphic Design
Humans leave their mark on their surroundings through their thoughts, appearance, and actions—forming the core of identity. Graphic design serves as a primary tool for expressing this identity.
Graphic design is a broad specialization and a branch of knowledge within the fine arts, falling under the umbrella of applied arts. It is a creative discipline aimed at delivering specific messages to target audiences using various means for combining images, words, and symbols that illustrate meaning and convey the message effectively.
Graphic design deals with the ideas, concepts, texts, and pictures, presenting them visually through printing, digital media, and any other platforms. Graphic designers impose a structure and organization on content to facilitate communication stages and simplify them, and to ensure that the intended audience receives and understands the message.
The field of Graphic Design continuously evolves with shifting intellectual and aesthetic trends, which affect designers’ work and reflect broader societal behaviors.
The field of static graphic design specializes in creating visual solutions for print and digital media, including logo design, visual identity, advertising campaigns, editorial design, poster design, packaging, illustrations, storyboarding, and Signage systems.
The field of Motion Graphic Design specializes in motion graphics, video art, animation, Website design, social media content, smart app interfaces, TV commercials, and video game design.
Department of Interior Design
Interior design involves planning, innovating, and developing the right design concept. It is the art of dealing with interior spaces to find the best possible solutions, managing them functionally, technically, aesthetically, and economically in terms of balance.
The interior designer (decor architect) works with structures and shaping interior spaces through architectural elements, furniture selection, and lighting design. I addition, they treat surfaces—such as floors, ceilings, and walls—to meet all human needs in their individual and collective living spaces, addressing environmental, social, and psychological aspects, as well as aesthetic desires.
In short, interior design is the harmonious balance between form and function—without overlooking aesthetic appeal and the psychological comfort of the space’s occupants.
Interior Design prospects and fields of work for the graduates are diverse, including:
· Residential spaces, commercial spaces (stores, retail outlets), cultural & recreational venues (cultural centers, public libraries, museums, cinemas, theaters, etc……)
- Administrative & public buildings (educational institutions, healthcare facilities)
- Hospitality & tourism (hotels, resorts, restaurants, chalets)
- Sports facilities
- Industrial fields like furniture design and manufacturing projects)
