Artificial Intelligence(AI) and Information Security
/in news /by Wajdan.UOKAs part of the Monday Scientific and Cultural Lectures series, and based on the fact that technology has become the backbone of modern life and a daily necessity for every individual, Dr. Riad Daher presented his lecture entitled “Artificial Intelligence(AI) and Information Security.” He started by discussing artificial intelligence from its inception, considering John McCarthy as the pioneer of artificial intelligence and the first to use the term. He also mentioned one of the most important founders of artificial intelligence programming, “Mustafa Suleiman”, who is of Syrian origin. Then he highlighted the basic components of artificial intelligence, its working method, its models and classifications, considering it a double-edged sword and a powerful tool. At the end of the lecture, Dr. Sundus Al-Yassin, Vice President for Academic Affairs, proposed holding workshops and courses to spread the culture of artificial intelligence, with the goal of educating and benefiting ordinary, non-specialized users. The event was attended by Dr. Sundus Al-Yassin, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ihsan Al-Najjar, Dean of the College of Engineering, and a number of professors, administrators, and students.
