The University of Kalamoon held its annual academic advising meeting to evaluate the advising process and identify its strengths and weaknesses. The meeting included a review of the current state of academic advising at the university, as well as a discussion of the proposals submitted by the attendees to address the weaknesses and strengthen the positive aspects of advising. The meeting resulted in a number of recommendations, most notably the adoption of a multi-level evaluation system for the academic advisors.
The meeting was chaired by the University President, Dr. Mohammed Adel Jawad, and attended by Dr. Sundus Yassin- theVice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Nehad Haider- the Vice President for Administrative Affairs and the University Academic Advisor- Dr. Khaled Al-Miqdad. The meeting was also attended by the deans of the faculties, faculty advisors, department heads, and an assistant advisor assigned to each faculty advisor.

The faculty of Media and Applied Arts held the “Annual Drawing Exhibition for Graphic Design Students.” University President Dr. Mohammed Adel Jawad inaugurated the exhibition and made a tour to view the students’ artworks, which embodied creativity in conveying imaginative meanings to reality. The University President also discussed the messages the participating students intended to convey through their artworks, offering them advice and guidance. The event was attended by Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Sundus Yassin, Vice President for Administrative Affairs Dr. Nihad Haidar, Vice of chief secretariat Dr. Amal Almasri, Dean of the faculty of Media and Applied Arts Dr. Ghassan Abu Janab, and a number of professors, administrators, and students.
The event was held in the Graphic Design lobby on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

Within the framework of enhancing inter-university collaboration at the national level, University of Kalamoon had the honor of receiving a distinguished delegation from the International University of Science and Renaissance. The delegation included: Prof. Dr. Jihad Kaddour, Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Dr. Suleiman Salhab, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Dr. Mustafa Darwish, President of the University; Dr. Abbas Al-Sheikh, Vice President for Academic Affairs; and Mr. Yasser Abd-Alwahab, Secretary General of the University.
The visit aimed to explore prospects for academic and research cooperation and to discuss potential avenues for joint development between the two institutions. The delegation was taken on a comprehensive tour of the university’s key facilities, including the medical and engineering laboratories, academic departments, the “Iqra’a” Library, the open-air amphitheater, and the University Medical City.
The delegation was warmly received by Dr. Mohammad Adel Jawad, President of University of Kalamoon, accompanied by the Vice Presidents for Academic and Administrative Affairs.
